Big fan of these shorts overall. The checkered design is clean, they’re lightweight, and they’ve been great for my runs.
The only difference I noticed compared to the original 5” EnduraGrid shorts is the liner. The original liner feels a bit more supportive and less stretchy, which I personally prefer. With this version, the liner is a little looser, so when I have my phone in the pocket it tends to bounce around a bit more on longer runs.
Other than that, they’re super comfortable and still a solid pair of running shorts. I’d love to see the original liner make a comeback in future versions because that setup was pretty much perfect for me.
